JC-50L
Jiechuang
The JC-50L 80GHz Radar Level Transmitter is designed for non-contact, continuous liquid level measurement in industrial tanks and process vessels. It uses FMCW radar technology to measure the distance to the liquid surface and calculate the liquid level.
The PTFE-lined lens antenna is designed for applications involving compatible corrosive liquids. The narrow beam angle helps focus the radar signal and can reduce interference from tank structures when the instrument is correctly installed.
The listed configuration includes a DN65 PN16 RF flange, a 316L stainless steel flange, an LCD display and a temperature extension structure. Output options include 4–20 mA, HART and RS485 Modbus, subject to the selected configuration.
The instrument is suitable for chemical storage tanks, process vessels and other industrial liquid measurement applications. Please provide the actual medium and operating conditions so that material compatibility and instrument suitability can be reviewed.
Acid and alkali storage tanks, subject to material compatibility
Chemical dosing tanks
Chemical process vessels and reactors
Chemical storage and dosing systems
Industrial wastewater tanks, where the medium and installation conditions are suitable
Liquid storage tanks
Compatible process vessels and auxiliary tanks
Continuous level monitoring in closed or open tanks
Remote liquid level monitoring through a compatible control system
Application note: Suitability depends on the chemical composition, concentration, temperature and pressure of the medium, as well as tank geometry, installation position and antenna compatibility. Please confirm the application before selection.
High-frequency radar technology provides stable measurement performance and excellent signal focusing capability.
No direct contact with the measured medium, reducing maintenance requirements and avoiding contamination.
The PTFE lined antenna provides excellent chemical resistance and is suitable for aggressive liquids.
The extended temperature spacer reduces heat transfer from the process connection to the electronic housing, improving performance in high-temperature applications.
316L stainless steel process connection provides excellent corrosion resistance and long service life.
The small beam angle reduces interference caused by tank structures, agitators and internal obstacles.
Ex db IIC T6 Gb design supports hazardous area applications.
Supports 4-20mA, HART, RS485 and Modbus communication.

The following items should be specified or confirmed when requesting a quotation:
Required measuring range and tank height
Process connection size, flange standard and pressure rating
Process medium, concentration and operating temperature
Normal and maximum process pressure
Required output: 4–20 mA, HART or RS485 Modbus
Power supply and receiving control system
Housing protection and hazardous-area requirements
Required display and commissioning options
The availability of each option depends on the selected model configuration.
Step 1 — Describe the liquid.
Provide the liquid name, concentration and relevant chemical properties. This helps determine whether the PTFE-lined antenna and other process-contact materials are suitable.
Step 2 — Confirm the measuring range.
Provide the tank height, required measurement range and any minimum distance from the antenna to the maximum liquid level.
Step 3 — Check installation conditions.
Provide the flange dimensions, nozzle height, tank geometry and information about agitators or other internal obstructions. Correct installation is important for reliable radar measurement.
Step 4 — Confirm temperature and pressure.
Specify normal and maximum operating conditions. Verify the permitted temperature and pressure for the complete instrument configuration.
Step 5 — Define the signal interface.
Select the required output and confirm compatibility with the PLC, DCS or other receiving system.
Step 6 — Confirm site requirements.
Specify the required IP rating and hazardous-area classification. Any explosion-protection marking must match the approved configuration and applicable certification.
A: The instrument uses FMCW radar technology to transmit a signal toward the liquid surface and process the reflected signal. It calculates the distance to the surface and uses the configured tank reference to determine the liquid level.
A: The PTFE-lined lens antenna is intended for compatible corrosive liquid applications. Suitability depends on the actual chemical, concentration, temperature and the materials of all relevant process-contact components.
A: The radar measures the liquid surface without an immersed measuring probe. The antenna and process connection still need to be suitable for the process environment.
A: The listed options include 4–20 mA, HART and RS485 Modbus. Confirm the required output and wiring arrangement when ordering.
A: The current product information lists a maximum process temperature of up to +200°C, depending on configuration. Confirm the antenna type, temperature extension structure and approved operating limits for the specific application before ordering.
A: The product information lists Ex db IIC T6 Gb. Please confirm the applicable certification and the required hazardous-area classification before selecting this configuration.
