Working Principle
RF Capacitance Level Transmitter is an instrument used for measuring the level of liquid or solid materials, utilizing radio frequency capacitance technology. It typically consists of one or more transmitting electrodes and one receiving electrode, forming a capacitor between them. When the medium (such as liquid or solid material) comes into contact with the sensor, its dielectric constant affects the value of the capacitance, thereby altering the characteristics of the radio frequency signal.
The dielectric constant is a physical quantity of the medium, indicating its capacitance properties relative to vacuum. For RF Capacitance Level Transmitters, the dielectric constant of the medium is crucial for the capacitance value. Generally, the higher the dielectric constant of the medium, the larger the capacitance value of the level transmitter, and vice versa.
Therefore, RF Capacitance Level Transmitters determine the level by measuring the change in capacitance value. By utilizing the relationship between the dielectric constant of the medium and the capacitance value, the position of the level can be accurately calculated.
