Overview
The JC-H series cross-sectional flowmeter is designed to address common challenges in measuring fluid flow in pipelines where straight pipe sections are limited. In many flow systems, variations in flow velocity at different points across the pipe cross-section make it difficult to pinpoint an accurate representative measurement. Traditional flowmeters can struggle to identify a consistent pattern, especially when airflow distribution is irregular or when non-uniform flow patterns are present.
To overcome these challenges, the velocity-area method is applied. The cross-sectional area of rectangular or circular pipes is divided into smaller, equally-sized units. The flow velocity at the center of each unit is then measured and averaged to represent the overall flow velocity across the entire pipe section. The more refined the division, the more accurate the flow measurement becomes. This method, combined with a robust design, makes the JC-H series an excellent choice for accurate fluid flow measurement in complex systems.
Application and Features
The cross-sectional flowmeter is an ideal solution for industries requiring high-precision fluid measurement and control, especially in coal-fired power plants, boilers, and other industrial environments. Some key applications include:
Coal-fired power plant boiler control: Online monitoring of load, coal powder quantity, and air distribution to ensure optimal combustion efficiency.
Industrial airflow measurement: Accurate measurement of primary and secondary air for boilers and other applications requiring precise airflow control.
The flowmeter is designed for minimal installation requirements, needing only a straight pipe section of 250-300mm. It operates with minimal pressure loss and is highly resilient to irregular or multi-directional flow. The self-straightening function allows it to maintain accurate measurements even in conditions with unstable fluid flow. Furthermore, the device boasts an anti-blocking blow-sweep system for online maintenance and cleaning, ensuring long-term stability and reducing the frequency of maintenance interventions.
