The remote type bimetal thermometer is designed for accurate local temperature indication combined with reliable remote signal transmission for industrial process monitoring. By integrating a mechanical bimetal sensing element with a built in temperature transmitter, the instrument provides both on site visual display and stable remote output to control systems.
The bimetal sensing element ensures fast response, good repeatability, and long term stability without the need for external power for local indication. The remote transmission function, typically providing a 4–20mA output, allows easy integration with DCS, PLC, or SCADA systems, enabling centralized monitoring and control.
With a robust stainless steel construction, the remote bimetal thermometer is suitable for harsh industrial environments such as power plants, petrochemical facilities, chemical processing, and general manufacturing. It is commonly used in pipelines, vessels, heat exchangers, and other process equipment where both local indication and remote temperature monitoring are required.
Bimetal thermometers are based on the composition of bimetallic strips wound into a ring-shaped bend. When one end expands due to heating, it drives the pointer to rotate, and the working instrument displays the temperature value corresponding to the thermal potential.
