WZ Series Assembly-Type Resistance Thermometers(RTD)
Industrial resistance thermometers are temperature sensors typically used with display instruments, recording devices, and electronic regulators. They directly measure temperatures of liquids, steam, gases, and solid surfaces in various industrial processes within a range of -200°C to 420°C.
Our company produces two categories of assembly-type resistance thermometers that comply with national and international standards:
Pt100 platinum resistance thermometers (conforming to IEC standards)
Cu50 copper resistance thermometers (meeting professional standards)
Product Standards:
IEC 751
IEC 1515
JB/T 8622-1997
JB/T 8623-1997
| Thermometer Type | Measurement Range (°C) | Calibration Type | Permissible Tolerance ∆t (°C) |
|---|---|---|---|
| WZP (Pt100 Platinum) | -200 ~ 420 | Pt100 | Class B (-200~800°C): ±(0.30 + 0.005|t|) |
| Class A (-200~650°C): ±(0.15 + 0.002|t|) | |||
| WZC (Cu50 Copper) | -50 ~ 100 | Cu50 | ±(0.30 + 6.0×10⁻⊃3;t) |
Note: "t" represents the absolute value of the measured temperature.
Pt100 Platinum Resistance:
Class A: R₀ = 100Ω ± 0.06Ω
Class B: R₀ = 100Ω ± 0.12Ω
R₁₀₀/R₀ = 1.3851 ± 0.0012
Cu50 Copper Resistance:
R₀ = 50Ω ± 0.05Ω
R₁₀₀/R₀ = 1.428 ± 0.002
Response Time
The time required for the resistance thermometer's output to change by 5% of a step change in temperature is referred to as the thermal response time, denoted as τ₀.₅.
Nominal Pressure
Generally refers to the maximum static external pressure that the protective sheath can withstand without rupturing at its operating temperature. The permissible nominal pressure depends not only on the material, diameter, and wall thickness of the protective sheath but also on its structural design, installation method, insertion depth, as well as the flow rate and type of the measured medium.
Minimum Insertion Depth
Typically no less than 150mm (special models excepted).
Self-Heating Effect
When a measuring current of 5mA is applied to the resistance thermometer, the temperature increase due to resistance change should not exceed 0.30°C.
Insulation Resistance
Under test conditions with DC voltage of 10~100V, ambient temperature of 15~35°C, and relative humidity ≤80%, the insulation resistance at room temperature must be ≥100MΩ.
Resistance Thermometer Terminal Box Structure (Unified Design Type)
Working Principle
Industrial resistance thermometers are categorized into platinum (Pt100) and copper (Cu50) types, operating on the principle that electrical resistance changes with temperature.
The sensing element consists of fine metal wire evenly wound in a dual-coil configuration around an insulated core.
In the presence of temperature gradients, the measured temperature represents the average temperature within the immediate medium surrounding the sensing element.
Structural Composition
Modular resistance thermometers consist of:
Terminal box
Protective sheath
Terminal block
Insulating sleeves
Sensing element
Additional mounting fixtures are included for installation.
Model-Specific Sensing Elements
WZP (Platinum Resistance Thermometer): Features a platinum wire winding; dual-element versions are used where simultaneous temperature monitoring via two display/recording/control instruments is required.
WZC (Copper Resistance Thermometer): Employs a copper wire winding.
