Overview
The JC-080 Vortex Flowmeter operates based on the Kármán vortex street principle. The release frequency fff of the Kármán vortex street is directly proportional to the flow velocity. By measuring this frequency, the instantaneous flow rate can be accurately calculated.
This flowmeter uses a piezoelectric crystal or differential capacitance element within the sensor to detect the alternating forces exerted by the vortices, making it a reliable velocity-type flow instrument. The JC-080 Vortex Flowmeter, with its stress-type design, measures fluid flow rates by detecting the vortex frequency generated when fluid passes through a triangular prism in the pipeline.
Notable for its simple and robust structure with no moving parts, the JC-080 ensures long service life, high measurement accuracy, wide rangeability, and low pressure loss. It is widely used for process measurement and energy management of low-viscosity liquids, gases, and steam in various industries, including petroleum, chemicals, metallurgy, machinery, food, and paper, as well as urban pipeline heating, water supply, and gas.
The JC-080 is also available with integrated temperature and pressure compensation, providing more accurate flow measurements by accounting for variations in these parameters.
